Single Sign-On
Single Sign On (SSO) is an authentication scheme that allows a user to log in with a single ID and password to any of several related, yet independent, software systems.
Stemify can integrate with a school's SSO application to utilize the school's existing credentials so students and faculty can seamlessly log into the Stemify platform. As students or faculty are enrolled they can automatically be given access to Stemify.
Stemify supports any IDP that has support for Saml 2.0.
A requirements meeting between Stemify technical resources and the school's IT department will be set up to begin the integration. To prepare for that meeting, the school should:
- Know the type of SSO IDP that the school uses (i.e, Active Directory of Shibboleth, etc.)
- Make sure a school resource who runs the administration for the school IDP attends the requirement meeting so we can determine compatibility and layout next steps for the SSO integration
- Make sure a school resource from admissions/enrollment attends the requirements meeting so we can discuss requirements for students to have access to the sign in portal
